It is totally unfair to compare the Saab to the BMW and Mercedes because they are not in the same price category. A Saab 9-5 for around $28,000 (what you really pay for a premium)is in the same price category as a V6 Subaru Outback, not a BMW 5 series or even 3 series (which is a smaller car anyway). The very fact that we are having this discussion comparing Saab to Mercedes says something good about Saab. Most people I know with Saabs were deciding between Volvo or Saab, or VW Passat and Saab. They weren't comparing it to bimmers. P.S. I love my Saab!
