Justin
I guess your Aero is new? The Saab engines don't, in my experience, give their best until you reach the 12-20,000 miles area - they tend to be really tight. Don't forget that your Saab motor will be good for 200k+, there are plenty of reports of the BMW 6 cyl motors dying in the 80-90k area (some are being fixed quietly under warranty - even though the vehicles are a long way outside out the warranty periods).
I have 2002 Aero, Auto - with just 8,000 miles and its really starting to fly - its tough to beat an M3 off the line - however in the real world in the 45mph and up passing activity there are very, very few vehicles that will stay with your Saab - 258ft/lb torque from 1900 rpm gives instant devastating passing performance.
Learn to enjoy the handling in stock form before changing it Justin, as others have pointed out a 9-5 is a big lump of metal - with already pretty silly cornering performance. Enjoy!
PS
I'll bet you don't see another Aero on the drive to work!
