if you're able to tune balance of the Bose in Audi so that both passenger and driver have same volume level in both ears - it's worth Nobel in acoustics! Another very annoying thing in that system is that as soon as driver(or passenger) raises hand it immediately blocks highs from the farther speaker... Their tonal balance is not bad, but speaker placement is outright ridiculous. They must have not though that there would be people in the car!
One thing HK system could benefit from would be better speakers, especially the ones in the dash. They should be two-way to add a litlle fill still not losing the cripsness. That is an easy upgrade BTW - thankfully their impledance is close to a standard value!
If the stage is in front or behind is the matter of personal preference... I prefer the front.
BTW - If you want to move it to the back just drive faster :-)
