Shortly after this upgrade became available, I had Hunt Valley Saab put one on my '99 2.3 lpt. The Saab tech could not marry the new upgrade to the car.He tried several of the same type, thing it may have been a faulty ECU. The car ran and and was road tested, but it had drivabilty problems, like periodic stalling, rough idle, and check engine light. His official Saab tech help line said it may have been due to differences in the'00 emissions set up. My '99 was a middle of the run serial number. I wonder if the later '99s had the '00 emissions program, allowing the upgrde to work. At any rate, enjoy the power! May the torque be with you! [now driving an '02 ARC']
