Her's my previous post:

The stepper motor which controls the air mix on the driver's side works fine. I tested it on both sides. However, there is a green arm that sits on the yellow ring where the stepper motor fits in. The green arm is obviously cracked.

(the motor is stamped BMW!)

The metal piece fits into the yellow ring.

I intend to try and crazy-glue the green arm together. However, I do not see what the arm actuates. I checked out the AllData database at my friend's shop, and AllData does not have a detailed diagram of the arm and mechanism.

Also, since I see many owners experiencing the same symptoms, it appears to be some quality issues on the driver's side heat-mix mechanism (which experiences more wear than passenger side). I'd like to get all the owners experiencing problems to sign a letter to Saab USA regarding this issue. Perhaps if the issue a TSB on this they'd fix this or at least cover part of this.
