During my research into this new GM LL spec (end of January, '03), I couldn't find any reference to "Mobil 1 Long Life 0W-30" oil meeting the new GM LL spec. IMO though, that doesn't mean much. Like you've suggested, I think the M1 0W-30 actually does meet the GM LL spec, but I think GM's struck an agreement with Mobil to keep it a GM-only 0W-30 product for the present time.
And if anybody cares, Mobil's updated their Mobil 1 Product Data sheets again (at least the 5th time in 6 mos that I'm aware of).
One last item: the attached site gives recommended oil viscosities for a variety of vehicles. Select "Oil Guide" & use the pop-up window to navigate to your desired vehicle. Keep in mind that this is a European oil manufacturer, not a vehicle manufacturer. As such, their recommendations will be based on somewhat different criteria than a car builder's will be (draw your own conclusions here; you know I have!). The Saab turbo recommendations are strictly 40wt, with varying lo-temp viscosities.
