My '99 9-5 had a odd, sort of exhaust odor in the cabin. This smell only came while stopped/idling. I checked the exhaust system for leaks, but found non. I then removed the cover around the oil cap, and found that there was about a 1/2 inch hole in the pcv Crank to valve cover hose. This just happens to be right in front of the cabin air intake. $15 for the hose(Included PCV Nipple), and $3 for the grommet(Just to seal things up nice), and no more stinky car!!!!! Hope this helps someone out there...
