You have hit on the major problem with Saab -- the poor job dealers and independents do of fixing them. My first 9-5 was such a mechanical nightmare, it nearly soured me on Saab forever. Fortunately I had leased two others which were doing well before I had problems with the first. And actually, the first had little wrong with it that a qualified dealer couldn't fix easily. When I traded it in to an out of state dealer, the dealer later told me that it had seven or eight major codes that needed to be resolved and once resolved, when sold, used gave the second owner little trouble. It cost me a lot of money to get out of that lease early, and those are the kinds of things that would p-off the pope. My new local dealer here in Memphis "Cadillac-Saab of Memphis" is doing a much better job than Gossett ever thought of doing. Saab is not a step-child at this dealership. If Chattanooga does not have a good dealership, it might be worth your while to find one in Atlanta and have them check out the car. It might be something as simple as computer diagnostics left unfixed.
