DI Cassette and Wheel Bearing follow up Posted by Adam [Email] (#344) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Adam) on Wed, 8 Oct 2003 10:35:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
FYI. I took my 2000 Aero to a mechanic in L.A. that was highly recommended on this site. The humming/road noise was, in his opinion, that the last place to rotate my tires only rotated one side. So, I'm getting funky road noises from the tires. It is NOT the wheel bearings, which a Saab mechanic in Orange County said I should do.
Next, the check engine light, which the SAAB dealership told me was due to the DI Cassette going back was not the case. This mechanic verified that the check engine light does not come on for that reason. It was because the is a short in the brake lights, which are only intermittently working right now. NOT a good problem to have. So, I'm trying to figure out if the SAAB dealership 1) didn't really test the check engine light, 2) lied to me, or 3) both. (By the way, I saw how the DI Cassette is changed out and it IS very simple. Two minutes tops).
Thanks for everyone's help in the past.
Adam
