Sorry to here about your ongoing problems with your 9-5. I too had many problems with my 1999 9-5, but thankfully they were all covered under warranty, my 2001 9-5 Aero has been almost flawless. However with my lease coming up in March of 2004, I started looking at alternatives to my 9-5, I drove a TSX and a TL Dynamic last Friday, the TSX for about 20 min, the TL for almost 60 minutes, all I can say is the TL is a great car for the price, up here in Canada (Caledon) the TL Dynamic lists for $41,800, the same equiped 9-5 Aero will cost me $55,000. The fit and finish on the TL is surprisingly good, I drove the car on all road surfaces and even with the 17" summer tyres it drove fantastic, less intrusive cabin noise than my 9-5, and the power was very linear, smooth and steady. Does this mean I am going to leave Saab after 10 years.....only time and the loyalty programme (ie what my next Saab lease will cost)will see.
Cheers, Manumad
