Hello.....
I have a front end mask for my 1999 9-5 SE. Don't know if it is the same as what you would need for your 2002 Aero. I bought the mask back in 1999 when the car was purchased. Mask is made by LeBra. When I researched, Colgan did not make a mask for the Saab 9-5. This may have changed since then. Just FYI, I have a mask for my Audi A4 and it is made by Colgan. They both cost about the same, but the Colgan is in my opinion of better quality. The Colgan has a felt backing that I would think is more paint friendly. The fittings on the Colgan Bra seem to be better made, also. (Although I can't see any problems caused by the LeBra)
Many people have written that the "bra" is a nuisance. I don't find this to be the case. It certainly keeps the front of the car from getting nicked, or splattered with bugs in the paint. Once you have installed and removed the mask a couple of times, it will only take you a few minutes. You will not want to leave the mask on all the time, as your paint will "fade" differently under the mask than without it. Also it is a good idea to remove the mask after it has gotten wet, so it can dry out and not retain the moisture against the front end of your car any longer than necessary. I have driven with the mask on in the rain, no big deal; just remove it afterward, and let it dry out.
No real downside to the mask, in my opinion. Go to Keyword LeBra and Keyword Colgan for Dealers. I paid about $90.00 (US) (don't remember the exact amount)
Hope this helps.
