did it on my '00 9-3 -- took about 1.5 hrs -- but i'm out of practice on this stuff...
the service instruction (210-2418) instructions are pretty good for the modifications -- one item not indicated is the location of the oil collection box -- its mounted to the engine block (between engine and firewall) underneath the intake manifold - where you can't see it, so it's a lefthanded "by touch" operation. The two mounting bolts are 13mm.
Since the kit (5962-428 - $36 USD ) only comes with the valves and a rubber plug you might consider getting replacement hoses (listed in the instructions), especially the hose from the turbo (9186875), which had pretty much dissolved on my car (40K miles)
