Got a call from Saab Financial re end of lease buyout

The lease on our 2001 Saab 9-5 Aero is up at the end of Sept. The residual was $20.5K. Got a call last Friday saying that they are lowering the residual to $19.5K if I buy the car by 7/6. After that, there is no guarantee what the residual will be (they said that the lowering was a periodic market adjustment), and emphasized that SFSC does not negotiate.
Anyway, I had been planning on buying the car, so I bit. The extra $1K off was nice, but I was more concerned about getting a decent loan rate -- since rates are going up, I was afraid that they'd be significantly high in September. As it was, I got a 5.45% rate on a 36-month loan from Capital One (which was a bit spooky -- typed in my info on the web site, ten minutes later get an email saying I'm approved, and the next day the loan papers arrived -- seemed way too easy); I think the rate last December was 5.05% . . . .
But for the infamous DI issue, car has run great, and only has 19,200 miles on it -- and I've changed oil with synthetic every 5K miles, etc. Nothing new in the auto world enamours me, so I figure I'll keep the extra an extra 1-2-3-4-? years and so how things go. This is the first time that I've actually bought a car at lease end.
