is the check engine light on? When I've had the TCS off light stay on, the check engine light is also on. Depending on how bad the stalling is, you may be in "limp home mode," in which performance is curtailed until something is fixed. I had that when the throttle body needed replacing.
OTOH, I've noticed by '01 seems a bit harder to start first thing in the am. Seems I need a bit mre gas and it may stall once. Runs fine after that. Not sure yet if this is anything significant or not.
