I own an early 99 9-5(bought 7/98)and have always had problem with seat back. When accelerating from a stop or braking there is movement in the seat back.Reminds you of bad springs digging in your back!My guess is not enough padding over plate for head restraint.Later in the 99 model year I noticed a change in loaner cars seats becoming more firm .Dealership at the time checked into problem numerous times and couldn't find anything wrong. After numerous complaints Saab got involved but wasn't any help.Dealer offered to take seat apart to add padding.I choose at the time not to try this approach.I always felt Saab should have stood behind their product.
Recently I been driving my wife's 2001 9-5 wagon and when I get back in my car,I find the seat to be even more annoying.
Coming up on 30,000 mile check up and will approach my current dealership
to try to solve problem.Has anyone else experianced this probelm?
