Some people said Kuhmo 716, ContiExtremeContacts, and BFGoodrich Traction T/A are ok with light snow (not more than 2 inches). Of course they are not as good as snow tires. However, for 95 Aero, BFGoodrich doesn't have 225/45/R17 (not sure for the Kuhmo). For the Conti, they have the right size but the Max Load rating is only 90 (vs the original 94).
I need to replace the original tires on the 9-5 but I don't have enough room to store additional tires (I have 5 extra tires already: Four 15" snow tires with steel rims from my old 9-3 and 1 full size spare for my 9-5. I have no use on the snow tires. I probably sell it cheap, < $200 ??)
I am thinking of getting a set of good all-season tires because the city did a good job in removing snows last year. I don't drive more than 90mph in summer and I seldom have more than 2 people or heavy load in the car. I am not sure whether I can go with the oversize BF (215/55/R17 91V or 235/45/R17 93H) or the Conti (P225/45R-17 90W).....
Any advise ? Thanks.
