Hitched a ride over the w-e with a XC-90 owner and friend.
I was surprised to see him use 'manual' downshift from automatic transmission to reduce speed (mostly highway) and says it doesn't affect motor or transmission. There is supposed built in protection to avoid over revving. He says his rarely goes over 5,000 RPM.
I have the manual paddles on the 9-5. Any reco against doing this with my car?
