i think their bearing is a little tougher than the stock. the hardened layshaft is also important. be sure to remove the inner bearing race from the pinion ( passenger) side of trans and inspect. it takes most of side thrust from ring and pinion. however....you....more than anybody ( with that fine saab you put together) should know the futility of trying to squeeze a turnip through a straw. somethings gonna give. if you use all your power you need to start keeping a spare trans and do a preventative teardown at 50k or so. the saab block is lovely block to get power out of..stiff as it is and all..but the high weight of car and relative fragility of trans when used beyond spec make it a foregone conclusion that the trans will blow sooner than later. you could try a cryotreatment maybe. unusual but data shows that it works. in any case..here it is
