Primary advantage of the 185/65 is probably that they are better in loose snow and slush. May also be better overall in the rain. I may be failing to recognize something but I don't see where there would be a big difference on hard pack snow or ice. On dry pavement the 195/60 should handle better.

If you want the "best" snow tire for the worst winter conditions then 185/65s are probably the choice for a c900 but that doesn't necessarily mean it is the "best" tire for everyone. Winter driving consists of more than just snow. You need to decide what trade-offs you want to make.

For instance, the car I bought the above tires for is a limited use road car and my primary concern was dry pavement highway driving with sufficient snow capabilities to easily handle snow on occassion. If my situation had been a little different I may have purchased a different tire in the 185/65 size. I feel I made a decent choice for my circumstances.
