Thank you all for the suggestions.
I will disconnect the trunk light (I had already moved the switch to the off position)
There is an aftermarket radio but its been there for a long time - but perhaps pulling it and checking the connections is a good idea.
I don't know what the battery draw was as all I was doing was looking for an amperage fluctuation - next time around I'll take notes.
There is no antenna clicking, fan running or fan turning when the key is turned off, therefore I believe everything has been properly shut down.
I'm not sure what a 'battery dash light' is but I will check my Bentley.
An internal short in a 'new' battery, perhaps. I'll charge it until the 'green eye' shows itself and then leave the battery alone and see if it does discharge (if it dies I get to visit the Saab dealer to take advantage of the battery's warranty!)
Anymore ideas - I'm open and when/if a solution is found I will post it.
