the proper procdure for checking sensoes is to pull codes if possible than get live data with a scann tool if possible not in your case than to check the sensor at the sensor you can check an o2 sensor a couple of ways the first is to get a digital volt meter ground the negative lead than back probe the o2 sensor @ the signal wire conector which is the one with 1 wire leave the conector conected! get the car warmed up hold the car @ 2500 rpm for a nimute or so too make sure the 02 is good & hot let the car Idle & watch the volt meter snap the throtle the voltage should rise than drop let it idle again the voltage should swing between about .15 volt to about .85 volt if it is not moving at all either the car isent going into closed loop for some reason like a possible broken wire between the o2 & the ecu could set your code or the o2 is defective this is how you tell if the o2 is OK with the volt meter still hooked up disconect the vacum hose from the FP regulator& plug it while the car is idleing the voltage should increase to the high side plug the vac hose back on to the FP reg. now cause a vacum leak somewhere else by unpluging another vac hose & the voltage should drop to the low side there is also a responce time test I wont get into rite now but what I just wrote should do if that all checks out the o2 is ok & you need to backpinn @ the ecu & see if you are getting the same o2 voltage you got under the hood to the ecu . I wish you the best JAK
