I have an 85 900S in platinum. I nailed a 12 point buck at 60+ mph driving home from work one night. Days later, I made time to bump out the bent driver side fender and leading edge of the hood, then installed a used headlight/bezel and turnsignal cluster to replace the parts destroyed in the accident. Since I had all the front end parts off, I figured what the heck, I wanted to tweak its looks anyway. I grabbed a can of that rubbery flat black paint intended for bumpers and side view mirrors and painted the headlight bezels and grille. I'm thinking to mask off and paint the leading edge of the hood the same way, maybe it would cut bug and gravel damage to the paint and sheet metal.
