Yes, after many weeks of squeeling starts, my dad and I "think" we have located the cause. Not sure when my mechanic will be able to do it, but he is going to order it and when time permits, pop it in. We were origionally going to do it, but after some posts here and talking with others, have found it quite/almost impossible to change w/o a lift and lots of time.
My question is, other than oil seals, what sort of things should he have done while we're there. What does everyone think of my oil pump condition? At startup in the morning, the oil light is illuminated for 1 sec and then goes out. While it's on, either the lifters or the valves are VERY loud, but soon quit. Is it worth having replaced now? Oil pump has been doing this for about 4-5 weeks.
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP/COMMENTS!
