My 85 90016T just came back from a long road trip and it developed a strange problem. Every now and then the steering will twitch/pull to the right. I checked everything out visually(jacked the car) but could find nothing wrong. Started when I backed off the throttle at any speed. Once in a while it will really start to shake(as if it has a really loose front end). The front end is tight. As long as power is being applied the car handles fine. Really got me worried last night but after I checked into a hotel in Calgary and checked the front end out I felt somewhat better knowing the front wheel was not going to fall off.Driving through the rockies today I had to back off the throttle a few times with resulting sharp little tugs at the steering wheel. Interesting times. I wonder if the outer cv joint is not starting to go and just grabbing every once in a while. Brakes are almost brand new(calipers and rotors have about 3,000 miles on them and look great. Wheels rotate fine when car is jacked. Anybody ever experience anything like this before? I sure haven't. I have experienced bad cv joints on other makes which knock and vibrate. And loose ball joints and tie rod ends which can get a front end vibrating. But this is strange to me.
