Actually, the whole scenario usually goes a little something like this. While driving, the "shift up" light will come on, followed by a slight jerk and a gradual loss of power. Initially, this occurred only at highway speeds, and would return to normal with a downshift and acceleration to the previous speed. However, it will now do this during city driving, and almost without notice. When it occurs at the lower speeds, the engine charge light will come on. The manual lists this as a probable symptom of a slipped or failed aternator charge belt. Due to the current weather conditions in the Midwest, I have not bothered to drive it for about 1 1/2 weeks, but will need to start and drive it soon.
All suggestions welcome and appreciated.
