Took a trip to the nearby Pass, and got stuck ROYALLY.
Used every trick I had access to. 2x4, gravel, three bored skiers pushing, etc. Finally, a kind gentleman pulled me out with his EXPEDITION in 2-seconds.
My 900T has about 3" of ground clearance at the cat.
The "meats" are 205/55 VR15 Dunlop W10's.
Awesome in the dry to moist tarmac - worthless in the fluffy stuff.
The manual and wheel-to-fender clearnace prohibits me from using chains.
I have resigned to the fact that I have defeated the all-weather purpose of my 900T in exchange for a rice-boy-killer cruiser.
We tried the Pass again with my wife's Scooby Impreza 2.5RS the next weekend, and it was amazing - there's no wonder the Impreza was king of the mountain in the WRC Circuit... She runs 195/60 VR16's.
Did donuts, counter-steer practice, 4-wheel drifts, and laughed at the face of old man Winter. AWD - it's where it's at, for snow. Maybe Mark Jeter can do a AWD conversion for the OG900 & 99's...???
