Just did this one on an 8 valve motor. This model has an adaptor that the oil sender threads into and although the threads are similar, they are not!
The adaptor is 1/4 pipe and the sender is metric. Be careful not to over-torque the adaptor into the filter casting because you could break it. I used a crows foot to screw the adaptor back into the filter housing after torquing the sender into the adaptor on the bench. The crows foot also allowed me to torque it to the correct inch pound setting with my little torque wrench. The Bentley book has the torque specs.
