I've always liked the looks of the 4 dr turbo, but they are indeed hard to find. I presently own two 9000's (it was three recently), and to risk the ire of folks on this BB (it is, after all, the *900* board), actually prefer the 9000 to the 900. The 900 feels a little more tossable, and very Saab-like. The 9000 is more comfortable, and with a turbo, pretty damn fast. The 9000 definately has much more interior space - the rear seat is huge, and the hatch cavernous. For most maintenance work, the 9000 is easier to work on, mostly because the accessories/belts are much easier to get to than the 900. There are some things easier to do on a 900 (the clutch comes to mind), but everything in life is a trade-off. I went from a two-door 900T to a 9000T (all are four-doors, most are hatchbacks), and am happy I did.
