some info:
NORMAL, HEALTHY OPERATION
Cruising ..... Runs at 40% on gage (50% with 190F T-stat, vs prefered 180F, 82C ), warmed up and cruising for 3-5 minutes at 40-60 mph, with AC off. True even in 90F weather. Fans should not be needed cruising.
Stopped ..... In hot traffic, stop and go, or at long idle, gage slowly climbs to 2/3 to 3/4, when fans come on, bringing gage back to about 1/2 before shutting off. This is a NORMAL cycle of the system, not a hot problem. This assumes the proper stock 92C fan thermo-switch is used. In very cold weather, fan trip point will be a little higher on gage than in warm weather (due to more free convection cooling of the radiator, and location of fan switch)
