Recently, I drove my 900 to work on a really cold day. When I went to leave in the afternoon, the car started right up. About a minute later, the car stalled. I >>almost<< got it restarted a couple of times, with the gas pedal to the floor or almost to the floor. I got it towed home, added some gas dryer (just in case), and went on vacation. After returning, I tried looking into the problem. I noticed the temperature gauge is pegged at "Hot" when the ignition is turned on. I also know I am getting fuel, because when I removed the #1 spark plug, it was wet with gas. I removed the fuel pump fuse, cranked the engine, and tried again. Once again, the car >>almost<< started.
Does the temperature gauge play a part?
How can I isolate ignition, sensor, or fuel problems? Where can I get a reasonable fuel pressure gauge?
