My 92 900S convertible had the same problem. It run good for weeks and all of sudden the idle will drop to below 400 and check engine light came on. I can restart the car and the problem go away. Trouble shot the problem and found out the O2 sensor is not putting out any voltage. Replaced the sensor and the problem never come back.
