Jeff & Royce have the best site showing their experience with replacing CV boots. When I replaced mine a few months ago, I used their advice as a base. The only difference between their approach and mine is that I reused my old outer joints. To clean them I flushed them out with brake cleaner and packed them with synthetic CV joint grease.
I assume that you have the right tool for crimping the clamps because you've done it before.
The only thing that I can add is have a bunch of latex or thin vinyl gloves handy for disassembling the joint and for packing the joints with grease.
Good luck, this is a lousy time of year to be doing CV boots.
