The most troubling thing is when the guy behind you sees the reverse lights come on at 70+ mph. The problem is due to wear in the (I think its Nylon) plate in the shifter housing. The solution is a little trial and error. Remove the shifter and you will see a tapered pin that retracts when the reverse lock out is pulled up. Sometimes the spring gets weak. You need to remove the nylon split-ball and take out the spring clip that holds in the tapered pin. This will allow you to unscrew the pin a turn or two (that's the trial and error part). Put it back together and see if it works. I've heard rumors of a rebuild kit, but...........
