Here's one that has me baffled;
Been having trouble with my '85 SPG the last couple days. Hit the fuel cutout (overboost switch) the other day getting ready to pass someone, lost power and stalled. Wouldn't restart. Tach needle bounced a bit (like it should) when trying to start and all the ignition stuff checked out, as did the fuses and intake hoses. I parked it where it was and went back to it a couple hours later... gave it another shot, and it started right up. I let it run a while to recharge the battery and it idled for an hour or so, no problem.
Parked it, went back to it this morning when the snow was melting and it again refused to start. Same deal as before. Played with it all day, bypassing overboost switch (thinking it might be 'stuck') and disconnecting APC to make sure that had nothing to do with it. No luck. Again I went back to it for one last shot after a couple of hours, and... it starts up. Idled for maybe 20 minutes, stalled and refused to restart. Sat for an hour in sub-freezing temps, started up, drove it a few hundred feet and stalled again, refusing to restart. Did it once more. Seemed like as soon as the engine reached temperature it would just stall and die.
Anyone else ever have a problem like this?
