Sorry about the two empty posts - not sure what happened. Anyway, if your Saab was run until it ran out of fuel, then restart after refuelling can be difficult. The first time this happened to me many years ago it baffled me completely , and I had to leave the car overnight. Next day it started right away. The few times that this happened again (we've had five 900's in our family) I could get an immediate restart after refuelling by slightly loosening one of the fuel line banjo fittings at the filter and turning on the ignition and perhaps cranking. Presumably, this allows the pump to prime itself, and also to push air out of the line. Don't smoke while doing this!
