Cold start noises? Lifters?

Hey folks.. my 86 SPG is running pretty well these days... only thing i'm really wondering about is ...
When i start the car totally cold, i will get some lifter noise usually for a while until the engine warms up.. im running mobil1 10w30 oil. Is this normal? I know that the lifters have to pump up if the car hasnt been driven for a while... but this will happen after one day.
also, there is a whirring noise that is present until i push in the clutch and if i let the clutch out, it will return (this is in neutral) .. this will also leave once the car is warmed up.
Any ideas?
thanks folks!
