I love the horror stories. Like most horror movies, they are based on fiction, rumor, or innuendo. Someone explain to me how any new oil can actually cause engine damage. How come, those folks who hate Amsoil, have no problem with Mobil 1, who continually copies Amsoil products. If you recall, it used to like pulling teeth to get the actual viscosity index from Mobil, their answer was that it was good for everything. Because of Amsoil, they now offer different grades( BTW the old Mobil 1 was 15W-50)
Beleive this, if not for Amsoil, Mobil would never have offered synthetics to the public. Their hatred of losing market share is why Mobil 1 is available, and they still tell you to change at 3000 miles.
My horror stories come from looking at the prices of new cars, aand seeing some of the bills for unneeded repairs.
Any of these horror stories ever come from a new car with Amsoil? I never heard one yet, and used cars that have strictly used Amsoil are worth more for resale.
