(1992 SAAB 900 s)
I was heading home last night when I decided to make a left hand turn.
As I let off the gas, I turn on my left hand turn signal.
As the left hand turn signal is blinking, I go to slow down by pressing on the brake pedal. As I press on the brake pedal, the left hand turn signal stops blinking!!! I let go of the brake and the turn signal comes back on!
I get home and decide to take off the lens cover on the rear left tail lights. I discover the bulb casings are slightly rusted so I replace all bulbs with new ones just in case it's not making a proper contact.
After replacing all the bulbs on the rear left hand side of the car, I turn on the left hand turn signal. It blinks on and off as is normal. I have a friend step on the brake pedal as the left hand turn signal is blinking and get this...the left hand turn signal goes off and the left hand reverse light starts blinking on and off and to make matters worse, the left rear brake light (the bulb has two filaments, parking light and brake light) fluctuates back and forth between the filaments.
Does anyone know what is happening here?
Do I have a short somewhere or does something have to be replaced like a relay or a fuse?
HELP!
