the hollowed darker colored bolts should be closest to the middle of the head. Remove a few to see if it's hollow. If it's not, there's your problem. Also, a pint of ATF is too much and shouldn't be left in no more than 15min. IMHO. I've seen it cause a camshaft bearing to seize (with synthetic motor oil). In fact, I've seen lifter noise caused by ATF in the motor oil. I'm not saying that's the cause of your problem, however.
