Hi,
I bought a 1993 SAAB 900 Aero about two months ago. It has done 260, 000 km's. The car runs beutifully but there are a couple of concerns and hopefully they are somehow related. The car seems to heat up more than normal. It is unusual for my cars temp gauge to sit under half way. Generally it sits three quaters of the way up. The heat light has never come on. When I bought the car it's coolant was empty. I think there is a slight leak somewhere, but this really isn't an issue. I put that coolant in it that changes colour when it goes bad. It only lasts about a week before it goes bad and needs replacing. Also periodically the car will fall down to bout 500 revs when stationary. It will generally only do it once and then go back to the normal level. Sometimes, very rarely tough. It will go down very low and to the point where it almost stalls. This will generally happen when the brake goes on hard and suddenly and also when I go to take off. I just got my car servied. I told the guys to have a look at the radiator and they found no problem. I wasnt really impressed with them actually. They found no problems with the car at all meaning no problems relating to the issues im having.
Thanks in advance.
