I would replace with in line fuse especially if broken just cut wire and splice new fuse in line. Mine just blew and fuse itself disitegrated due to corrosion. Some weather exposure in that location no doubt. The ends of the wires were really corroded. With that fuse burned you could hear relays click but no up down of top. Good Luck
