1986 Saab SPG trouble Posted by Andrew [Email] (#1013) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Andrew) on Mon, 22 May 2006 20:59:58 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hello fellow saabers,
Me and my father just invested a TON of money/work on a 1986 spg to bring it back to life. Rotors, calipers, floors, you name it, we did it. Just as everything seemed to be good, we've found a problem we can't figure out....As we put the car on the road last week, we noticed a clunking/rubbing noise coming from the passenger side front wheel well area when you turn the car to the left. My father, being a 25 year saab tech, checked the cv joints, inner drivers, hub, tie rods and nothing was wrong with them. Now being stumped, we can only wonder what could be causing such a noise. We're guessing it could be the Spider gears or differential but it seems like that would be highly unusual. If anybody has any experience, or suggestions on this problem, your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot
