I think we are talking clese to the same thing.

up to 88 the streeing knuckles are different than the 88+ due to the brake mounting tabs.

the hubs themselves are just w/ studs or without - unless you have a part number w/picture that says otherwise.

On the pre 88 w/ the e-brake in the front - you ABSOLUTELY CAN, use a wider yoke and vented rotors. Look at the eEuro part numbers w/ pictures I posted.

I know, because I converted my 85 from solid to vented and my 86 spg and then by 86 spg from stids to lugs but swaping the whole thing over to 1990 hubs and I have the 9000 turbo brakes on it now w/ the 87 Booster/master.

So I've been through this on 3 cars
1985 turbo AT
1986 SPG - forst to vented fronts w/ fron e-brake then the 88+ hub/axle swap
1987 Turbo - that I think had the vented rotors from the factory w/ the longer yoke.
