There is not enough difference to bother with. The big changes would be the addition of the airbag and ABS, which I think all the convertibles in that year range had. Mechanically the only difference is the slightly beefier gearbox somewhere around 91. I think, but don't know for certain, that the 94 got the 185hp APC box, which IMHO is the last thing that a flexy convertible with a weak gearbox needs. 160hp is more than enough.
Personally, I have mixed emotions about the airbag and ABS. Both are VERY expensive to fix if they go wrong, especially the goofy ATE ABS setup. For sheer reliabilty, I would expoect the simpler 80's cars to be better. I would simply buy the best car you can find, regardless of year. But at this point they are all at least 12 years old.... Condition is paramount, you will spend far more making a poor car nice than just buying a good one to start with.
