broken reverse gear tooth. impending doom?

Great. I've determined that the clicking noise while reversing is a broken/ missing tooth (clicks even with clutch disengaged, sound goes away once shifter is put in neutral position).
The rest of the tranny seems perfect - shifts awesome, no problem going into second (even no problem downshifting into 2nd, a c900 first for me!). No gear whine at all. I'm hoping that as long as I drive VERY gently in reverse, I'll be OK for the next several years. Any opinions?
