Bob T,
Sorry I forgot to address that. Wow, that's a lot of rust on a T.C. in a fresh rebuild, even for CRS. Why would anybody put such a rusty T.C. in a fresh unit? I don't see any evidence (in the photos) of the whole thing having been wet. The stel brace at the front is not rusty. It's got all the CRS tags on it too. You can be sure of this; that's not a rebuilt torque convertor. If it was rebuilt it would have been painted. Of course once you get it you can open the bottom and see how it looks but that's only if you buy it. Installing a new torque convertor wouldn't be that big a deal. You have to separate the case halves to swap it and that entails gutting the front case but still, it's do-able. Prices range widely on rebuilt T37 torque convertors. The big mystery is why is it so rusty. You may just have to roll the dice here. Call Eriksson for a price on a rebuilt T37 for reference. They do a much better job too. Good luck.
