Isn't there information on clutch replacement in the Bentley manual? If I remember correctly, you'll need to remove the clutch in order to remove the slave cylinder. If Bentley isn't clear on this, visit the Saabmaster site (TSN sponsor) technical documents pages. A detailed write up can be found there, IIRC.
It's not a very difficult job. I had to stop and change one in a Texarkana, TX gas station on a return trip to Maryland. That fix got me all the way to Richmond,VA before my clutch line failed, but a tow home from Richmond was easy to stomach compared to the alternative. I try not to travel long distances without having spares on board.
I've had great success with slave cylinder rebuild kits. Just make sure the metal isn't badly scored and the parts are clean.
Good luck with your repairs.
