Like sloopjohnb says, check for spark first. If you have one, a timing light can be used without having to take anything apart. If you don't do some diagnosis first, you can spend a lot of time and money swapping out parts before you get to the right solution.
Items that could produce your symptom include Hall effect sensor, fuel pump relay, and fuel pump failures (plus a lot of other things). The coil and ignition module are very robust and not particularly prone to failure.
If you're going to work on your car much, you should probably invest in the Bentley manual for it. It's got lots of useful info about diagnosing problems and instructions on how to fix things.
