My attorney has heard from my old insurance company and they want to re-arbritrate. I wanted to indicate that the insurance industry uses Kelly's Blue Book to assess a value. In my case they even had an appraiser come out and look at my 1988 SAAB SPG and the report really was an eye opener. The appraiser said that the paint was bad and that the headliner needed replacing. He also went on to note that the car needed tyres and the headlamps were faded because of the plastic lenses exposure to sunlight.

My car had the headliner replaced 2 years prior and they did a double headliner to boot. My paint man said that my car had one of the nicest paint jobs he had ever seen. Tyres were replace 4 months before my accident and I do not have plastic lenses as I have e-code glass lenses. I have come to find out that they made up the whole appraisal. I also had photographs of the car before the accident but they made no difference.

In the State of Texas the vehicel tax and registration are based on the value of the car according to NADA. So I would like to know how State Fraud (Farm) figures that they know better then Texas tax collectors.

What really gets me is that the lady that rear ended me was insured by State Fraud, rear ends me and then plows into my door and rear panel all without dropping her CELL phone. Admits fault and then they cancel me. After I repaired my vehicle I had them reinsure the car only for them to cancel me 4 months later realising what they did.

They would rather spend a GADZILLION dollars then admit they made a mistake and rectify it. You can try to protect yourself with receipts and photographs but in the end time will be your ally.
