Is it feasible to replace the igniton switch (93 non-turbo 2.1 4-door) with a toggle switch or two and a push button to actuate the starter?
would it be easier than replacing the ign switch? (I recall you can get at the wires on the switch from topside without having to remove the funny nuts. OR will I have to remove the funny nuts anyway? (even if I use the key to "unlock" it?)
anyone done this and have suggestion on how to run the wires?
I have a similar issue on my 84 BMW, but there the lock was destroyed by a theif as well as wipign out all the electrics in the column. thinking toggles and button here as well as an economy move.
